Story: Lily

This is Lily the pet potbellied pig.

She came to us at 6 weeks old and shared a bed with our 10 pound Maltese named Snowball.

A couple years later and many more pounds, they still shared sleeping arrangements, then a new addition Chester, the doxie, joined them.

Lily is 5 now and we have lost Snowball but still have Chester and a couple more dogs. She is mostly indoors and only goes out a few hours in the morning to do her business. She came fully potty trained and has never had an accident. Laying on the deck of our bay window, getting a little sun.

She especially liked a cozy spot under the Christmas tree.

We love her to pieces and were surprised at how she grew.  We supposedly bought a "Pixie pig" and paid a hefty price for her and had her shipped from California to South Florida. After doing the research and realizing the only way they stay small is through starvation, we were horrified. Luckily, we have plenty of space for her to roam.

Thankfully, she has surpassed the 'toddler' years, which were very challenging. As I am sure you know, they get into everything!!!  kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinets, and can manage to open any zipper on a backpack just to find an tiny piece of an M&M. She also liked to roam around during that special time of the month, and visit 2 churches located next door. She's quite famous now in our area and with the children in the preschool.

We hear she can live to 20....  looking forward to many years to come. :)
